I'm Posting!

Whee!!! thanks Sonnet. . .

So, about that Happy Hour. I think we'll all need one after UMF and AFAF, and I'd love to try and join up with the celebratory group . . . just don't schedule it for a Monday. I'll be with Kiefer that night, and I don't make exceptions. . . :)

I'm coming in a little late

Hey all,
I will be in around 11:30 - 12noon...I have to run some errands for UMF and my afterschool class

The Blue Tarp?

Does anyone know where the blue tarp is? There was one folded up next to the drop cloths and smocks in the painting section of the supply area. I need it for Saturday!

It's a Celebration!

With April beginning this weekend, it is time for a celebration of sorts, a gathering let's say of the TAP staff and significant others at a local establishment. The occasion is the last month with three of the Taptastic interns and an appreciation evening for all TAP staff.

So, in the next two weeks, what days do not work for you all? I figured Wednesday's might be bad because of the kickball league, but are there any others? I figured it would be on a weekday in the happy/dinner hour...or later if that works better for more people.

Location is TBD. It will be somewhere within a short drive from TAP I'm assuming.

So write back with conflicts, suggestions, or comments and hopefully we can find a day that works for most, if not all, people.

Sweet.

Can "the Charity of our Choice" be ourselves?

Just got this from the YNPN mailing list - I have no doubt we'd be the champion team.

Do Gooder Games

Inaugural Do Gooder Games & April Networking Happy Hour

April 26 @ Scholz Bier Garten!

Calling all nonprofit nerds! The inaugural Do Gooder Games will take place on Thursday, April 26 from 6:30-8:00 pm at Scholtz Bier Garten at 1700 San Jacinto.

The Do Gooder Games is a fast-paced event with teams competing in three rounds of fun challenges such as, 'make the most persuasive cold call (pretend!)' or 'stuff the most envelopes in three minutes.' The elimination-style competition pares down eight teams to two that will compete in a sudden death match. The champion team receives a grand prize of $200 that is to go to their charity of choice!

This is your chance to pull together a five-person team of nonprofit agency staff to compete in fun events celebrating the creative, collaborative and sometimes random work done every day in the nonprofit sector. The Do Gooder Games will be almost as much fun to watch as to play, so spectators are welcomed and encouraged.
